Mybattery icon has suddenly started indicating that the battery is at 31%, plugged in but not charging. Concomitantly, whenever I unplug my AC adapter the laptop suddenly turns off as if the battery holds no charge at all (even though it indicates 31%). You cannot tell if the charger is bad by looking at, but you can test it using a multimeter. Or another cheap way to know is to either get another ASUS charger or buy a universal one and see if it charges the battery.
